We are a team of highly trained barbers that offer an array of luxury grooming services. Our team is extremely experienced with many years in their field and were hand selected by our mentor after she established relationships, knowing each team member's skill set, work ethic and reliability.
We only use top quality products such as Go 24-7 and Anthony Brand skin care to assure the products are as good as our craftsmanship.
Our team goes through full hands on training and must be approved by our mentor before being able to accompany The Den. We hold monthly education classes and book further education classes with industry leading companies and platform artist so we are always current with skills, trends and styles, enabling us to provide exceptional services.

Briyon has grown up with 4 generations of owning salons and barbershops. At the young age of just 12 she began working along side her father at who worked at The Gatsby Salon and Spa in Green Brook, NJ and continued working at salons throughout her high school career. After graduating from Bridgewater- Raritan High School in 2003 Briyon continued her education, extending her families footsteps but as a certified massage therapist.
Along side being the certified massage therapist at her families salon, Briyon trained under and worked for M.A.C Cosmetics for three years and trained under and managed Nars cosmetics for two years. In 2008 Briyon started her first business focusing on freelance makeup for weddings and other events. Over the next 10 years she grew her company, employing 5 makeup artists, 4 hair stylists and 2 barbers. Briyon has managed makeup and hair for several music-videos, photo shoots, TV appearances and large events, including work for numerous television networks which include: The Today Show, Access Hollywood, The 10 Show, NBC, C-WB11 and Teen Choice News. Briyon has worked with high profile celebrities such as Gisele Bundchen, Mandy Moore, Overkill and she has also been apart of The Clinton Global Initiative for multiple years. Looking to accomplish more Briyon went back to school in 2012 to become licensed in cosmetology. Having a great base understanding in the industry and putting forth a lot of hard work, she is proud to say she passed her State Board written test with a score of 96%! Soon after achieving her license Briyon started working in a fast paced barbershop learning to work with all hair types, achieving skin tight fades, straight razor head shaves, along with hot towel face shaves. Eager to earn more money Briyon started seeking a high end barbershop and came across what she was looking for in Bedminster. |
...There Briyon gained further knowledge in scissor cuts, coloring, scalp treatments, waxing, manicures and facials. Within the first 7 months Briyon moved up from center stylist to senior stylist and after 2 years built a wonderful, large and very strong clientele. Always looking to grow, Briyon set out to accomplish her next goal of owning a high end barbershop! Her vision for the barbershop entailed a 1920's, masculine but elegant, den ambiance. The front desk is a rich mahogany desk with gold hardware. Before any services clients have the option to hang their shirt up in a dressing room and put on a robe to avoid any hair clippings on their attire. Complimentary beverages are served from our beautifully detailed, marble topped bar. Each station is furnished with masculine antique dressers topped with an inlaid salon sink so the client does not have to get up to have his hair washed. Each station has large ornate gold-framed mirrors and high quality plush barber chairs. Each service has the option to come with a relaxing hot towel for your face and a neck and shoulder massage. Briyon is easily described as ambitious, goal orientated, organized, outgoing and gregarious. Even as a young child Briyon was never described as shy! She also has great communication skills and is able to articulate her words for people to understand. So in 2018 and at 34 years old, having over 20 years experience in this industry, Briyon thought becoming a barbershop owner was a great next step to grow within her industry.. As you can probably tell she is always eager to achieve more.. She is confident that she has the skill set, business knowledge and strong client following to succeed and with that, The Dappermen's Den Barber and Shave Parlor was born... |
